The Upper Valley is fantastic, varied, and beautiful. It is great place to live and work, except for one thing: living up here means a bit of isolation.
uvHere exists to expand the circle of possibilities for people in the valley, by letting everyone know “what’s going onâ€Â, where, and when. It acts as a sign post to events, gatherings, art, film, music, food, and activities of all kinds.
If you find yourself at home all the time wondering where everyone is, let’s change that now!
But it’s not just eventsâ€â€we’re working hard on other features to connect the Upper Valley even more. If you’ve got ideas, we want to hear them.
How it Works
Every day, uvHere crawls several different calendar sites in the Upper Valley and makes an index of the events listed there, trying to discern the town each event is happening in and what type of event it is. uvHere runs on entirely open-source software.
Who We Are
Charley Conquest
Has been working and living in the Upper Valley for 31 years. He started Hanover Strings and Fresh Music incorporating the learn as you earn method. With a desire to make the Upper Valley a better place, it was his idea to team up with Pete to design and underwrite uvHere.
Pete Ericson
Pete is the man behind The Complete Website, a web development firm and creator of the revolutionary Jumpstart program in Grantham, NH. He brings his expertise in marketing and business operations to uvHere.
Dan Grover
Dan Grover was the creator of uvCalendar.org, the original Upper Valley calendar aggregator website. Working closely with Pete and Chas, he applied his programming and web design skills toward expaning on the original concept and creating uvHere. He also runs Wonder Warp Software, a Mac shareware company. Dan is now studying computer science at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
